ECO FRIENDLY DIWALI, 2017

Eco Friendly Diwali, a project launched by the President Mrs. Kumud Kachhara and Secretary Mrs. Neelam Sethia of Akhil Bhartiya Terapanth Mahila Mandal, was carried on by 235 Terapanth Mahila Mandal branches across India. 40,000+ people pledged to celebrate an Eco Friendly Diwali and swore to start using Indian make products alone. People pledged to light diyas instead of crackers. Posters designed by an expert team guided by Tanvee Sethia were launched and more than 26000 posters were circulated in schools, colleges, malls and other public places across the country. The ultimate goal of this project was to save the lives of agnikaay jeev (beings in fire) present in the atmosphere and to reduce the amount of pollution. Serious efforts were taken by the branches of Jodhpur, Pali, Hyderabad, Erode, Surat, Coimbatore, Jalgaon, Balotra, Araria Court, Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, Ichalkaranji and South Kolkata Terapanth Mahila Mandal. The NGO was felicitated by 78 schools for the work.
